Dugout Project Begins!

Improvement project planned.

Welcome to BufordBulldogs.org! Buford Bulldogs

Years ago, summer evenings in Buford, Ohio were spent on the school playground, while Knothole Baseball and Softball games were played on the best field in the league.

A concerned group of former Buford School students and area residents have decided to revitalize the old sandlot.  Our first major project is a new set of quality dugouts.

In 2001, the old Buford school ceased to be used as a school.  The grounds and building were transferred to a newly-formed Clay Township Park Commission.  While other old schoolhouses have been abandoned and demolished, the old Buford School remains a central feature and important landmark for residents and alumni.

Pro Wrestling Returns to Clay Township Community Center

On Saturday, July 15, 2017, the IWA will bring its “Red, White, and Bruised” summer tour back to the Clay Township Community Center for a night of hard-hitting pro wrestling action!

The card will include a tag-team stretcher match, a ladder match, and a match to determine a new #1 contender for the IWA Women’s Championship.

Advance tickets for the event are $8, and are available at Chuck Wait Tire in Mowrsytown, Slow & Low Barbecue in Hillsboro, or Sonny’s Vape Shop in Mount Orab.  You can also purchase a family four-pack for just $25 at MightyIWA.com.

The community-minded IWA will also be accepting donations toward the Dugout Project at this show, so bring the family for a fun night of pro wrestling action, and support a great cause!

Dugout Project Update

Brandon Montgomery has put together a design for the block dugouts. He and Kara Williams are working with a few area schools to get some masonry students to help out with the work. Elishia Beatty Breetz and her team at Habitat for Humanity in Hillsboro are helping us round up the supplies. We still need someone to help dig the footers and design the roof structure. If anyone can help Brandon with pouring the footers please contact us at bufordbulldogs@gmail.com. We are aiming for the weekend of September 23rd to start laying the block. We will need people with masonry experience or masonry students. We will need some carpentry help, but we will know more about that once we get the roof design done. If anyone can volunteer their roof design expertise please contact us at bufordbulldogs@gmail.com.  Don’t forget, we still need donations, which you can do through the GoFundMe page set up by our friend Jamie Burrier.
